There's an adage which says, "The best fertilizer for a garden is the footsteps of its owner." This has direct application to the work of Tait Moring and Associates. Tait was born in Austin, earned his Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University and, while his personal and professional travels have sent him far and wide, since he opened his firm in 1987 his area of expertise and the focus of his work is the Hill Country of Texas. Simply put, Tait knows Texas.

His life-long interest and pursuit of understanding the geology, flora, and fauna of his own backyard and an abiding commitment to the environment formed a perfect platform upon which to build his talents as a designer. The combination of cosmopolitan exposure with grassroots knowledge makes Tait Moring and Associates the premier landscape architecture firm for residential garden design, installation, and maintenance in the region. Evidence of this can be found by being selected to design a Southern Living Idea House, being featured in Texas Home and Living, Luxe Magazine, Landscape Architecture, Southern Living and multiple books including Southern Living's Courtyard to Country Gardens, and Better Homes and Gardens’ Step-by-Step Landscaping.

Tait Moring and Associates is a small firm by choice. He has one additional landscape architect on board, Brad Hardin, which allows Tait to have hands-on input on all of his projects.  But his work goes beyond design. As Tait puts it, "A teacher once said it's not what you can design, it's what you can get the world to build. To that I add that knowing how to build it and how to take care of it is vital to a successful design." That's why Tait Moring and Associates has its own construction crews to ensure their designs are built properly and their own maintenance division to ensure their clients' investment is protected. His footsteps are familiar in the gardens he designs, long after the "work" is done.

Conveniently located in Westlake on Bee Cave Road near Loop 360, the team at Tait Moring and Associates would welcome the chance to show you some of their work, offer solutions to your problems, and explore ways they can help transform your dreams into reality.
